A47 crash: Photo shows crash between bus and van in Lowestoft after air ambulance called
Part of the A47 in Suffolk was closed yesterday (Saturday, October 28) after a crash between a bus and a van. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Yarmouth Road in Lowestoft at around 2.48pm on Saturday following a crash. The air ambulance also attended the incident.
Fire crews from Lowestoft North and Lowestoft South worked at the scene. A spokesperson for Lowestoft North Fire Station said: “A small number of casualties were treated at the scene with one requiring extrication.” A ‘stop’ message was received at 4.27pm, with crews leaving the scene shortly after. According to National Highways East, the road had reopened by early evening.
As of this morning (Sunday, October 29) traffic is flowing normally.
