APD: Driver dies after rollover crash early Saturday at Dumas hwy. and Central Ave.

One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident overnight.

On Saturday, Sept. 30 at 3:24 a.m., Amarillo officers were sent to the scene of a reported single-vehicle rollover crash at Dumas highway and Central Avenue on the northbound access road, according to the Amarillo Police Department (APD).

When officers arrived, other first responders and Potter County officials were already at the scene, APD said. Officers learned the driver, who was identified as Bryson Walker, 34, had been traveling north on Dumas and exited at Central.

Walker lost control of his truck, which then rolled, and he was ejected.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His family has been notified.

APD's Traffic Investigation Unit is assigned this case.
