Body of pilot recovered after plane crashed into Lake Winnipesaukee in NH

Authorities have recovered the body of the pilot who crashed a plane into Lake Winnipesaukee[1] near Gilford, New Hampshire on Saturday, WMUR[2] reported.
Divers with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department found the pilot dead, the state agency told WMUR. Parts of the aircraft were also discovered.
The pilot was flying a Cessna 150, a small, single-engine aircraft, when it crashed into the lake roughly 200 yards from Ellacoya State Park shortly before 7:45 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities. He was the only person aboard the plane.
Gilford Fire-Rescue, a Laconia Fire Department ambulance and boat, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol responded to the scene of the crash, Gilford Fire-Rescue Firefighter Adam Gravelle told MassLive.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, and the NTSB is leading the investigation.
A NTSB investigator is expected to document the scene of the crash when the aircraft is recovered, examine the plane, attempt to contact any witnesses and request any air traffic communications, radar data, weather reports, maintenance records of the aircraft and medical records and flight history of the pilot, according to the NTSB.
“The NTSB does not conduct recovery efforts,” the NTSB told MassLive.
