Cordon in place after Linton High Street Co-op targeted in ram-raid

A police car and a police scientific support unit van were still at the scene on Monday afternoon Three men in balaclavas attempted to steal from Linton Co-op’s ATM in a failed early-morning ram-raid. The incident on High Street took place at 01.10am on Monday morning (October 23) and a police cordon was still in place at 12.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: “At 01:10am, three men wearing balaclavas targeted the Co-op store’s ATM, using a Toyota Hi-Lux with false plates to smash the front of the shop. The men were unsuccessful and left the location with no cash, leaving the Hi-Lux at the scene and making off in a silver Golf Type R. “We’re continuing our presence in the area today, with a scene in place to preserve evidence while investigations are ongoing.

We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist in our appeal.
