Edinburgh emergency services rush to busy road after ‘multi-vehicle collision’
Edinburgh emergency services have rushed to a busy road in the west of the city after a multi-vehicle collision.[1][2] Police, paramedics and the fire service raced to St John’s Road in Corstorphine following what is believed to have been a two-car smash with the road left partially blocked. Images taken by one resident on the street shows a huge emergency[3] response with three police cars, an ambulance and they say two fire engines have recently left the scene.
Police can be seen cordoning off one lane of the busy road heading into the city as it is currently unclear if there have been any reported injuries following the incident. Edinburgh Travel News also alerted motorists to potential delays in the area as they posted on X: “St Johns Road: Citybound RTC and police attending appears to still be ongoing and causing some delays. Delays are mainly westbound though.
Just before the Wetherspoons near Kirk Loan.” Earlier on Thursday, we reported how a woman was rushed to hospital following a collision with a van on Niddrie Mains Road as it too was closed by the emergency services and buses were temporarily diverted.
