Employee doesn’t feel safe when ex gets a rise out of her at bakery: Broadview Heights Police Blotter
BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio
Harassment, Broadview Road: On Sept. 6, police were dispatched to Angelo Bakery regarding a harassment call at the Broadview Road store.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said her ex came into the store. After helping her with a transaction, the employee then asked the ex to leave rest of her belongings on her front porch.
The ex, unhappy about the discussion, left without her receipt; however, she returned soon thereafter and made a scene -- including cussing -- in front of another customer.
The employee said she felt uncomfortable and not safe at the bakery. She asked for the ex to be advised of her complaints.
The officer talked to the ex, who said the employee actually threw food at her.
She was also advised of trespassing and disorderly conduct but no charges were filed.
That’s when the ex’s father got on the phone saying he was going to contact a lawyer.
Expired plates, I-77: On Sept. 7, police observed a silver Ford-150 -- without a license plate -- driving recklessly southbound on I-77.
The officer watched as the Ford quickly change lanes, which caused a semi-truck to also change lanes and brake to avoid a potential crash.
While talking to the driver, the officer discovered the man had a suspended license; however, the driver said he had driving privileges but couldn’t produce paperwork supporting the claim.
The officer also noticed one passenger had his head between his knees while the other threw up in a bag.
It turned out the former passenger also had a warrant. He was arrested and held for transport.
The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.
During a search of the Ford, police found marijuana. The driver was also cited for drug abuse, not using turn signals and not displaying license plates.
