Essex Police operational support make six arrests on Sunday

Yesterday, Essex Police's Operational Support Group (OSG) made six arrests related to different criminal offences. The OSG stopped a driver on the A12 as the individual was seemingly driving without a licence, upon inspection of the vehicle, the police officers soon discovered Class A and B drugs. The individual was arrested for possession with intent to supply, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence.

Members of Essex Police then searched a property outside of Essex connected to the suspect and found money, suspected Class A drugs and drug paraphernalia. Gazette: Discovered - More suspected illegal items found at the propertyDiscovered - More suspected illegal items found at the property (Image: Essex Police) A man was stopped by the OSG whilst he was caught speeding, he has been arrested for driving under the influence of drink or drugs and possession of a Class A drug. An individual was arrested at an address in connection for making threats to kill.

During the arrest, another individual struck an officer on the head with a baseball bat, this person was arrested for assaulting an emergency worker.

Thankfully, none of the officers involved were injured.

Two other individuals were arrested for outstanding warrants in Colchester.
