Four taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash on major Lincolnshire road near Swaton

Four people were taken to hospital after a three-vehicle collision[1] on a major Lincolnshire road. Police received a call at 3.24pm on Wednesday, October 4, reporting a crash involving a white Peugeot Boxer van, a grey Mercedes-Benz E Class car and a silver Citroen Xsara car at the Swaton[2] crossroads.

The incident took place on the A52, at the junction with the B1394. As a result of the collision, four people were taken to hospital, three with serious injuries, including the driver and a passenger in the Citroen and the driver of the Mercedes.

Police believe that the van was travelling south on the B1394, the Mercedes was travelling west on the A52, and the Citroen travelling east on the A52 before the incident happened. A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “The road was closed following the collision while emergency services attended. It is expected to re-open in the early hours of Thursday morning.
