Long queues at Dartford Crossing southbound on M25 after multi-vehicle crash

People heading towards Kent[1] on the M25 are facing delays this evening after a multi-vehicle crash. Traffic camera images from near the Dartford Crossing[2] showed queues building southbound following the incident – but all lanes have now been reopened.

At 5.36pm, National Highways tweeted: “Report of a multi vehicle collision on the #A282[3] southbound #DarfordCrossing[4]. “There are currently delays of 40 mins above normal travel time.”

National Highways tweeted again at 5.58pm: All lanes are now OPEN on the #A282[5] southbound #DartfordCrossing[6] following a multi vehicle collision.

“Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 45 mins remain above normal travel time.” The Inrix traffic reporting service says: “Long delays, queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident, a car and a lorry involved on M25 QE2 Bridge clockwise from J31 A1306 to J1A A206 (Dartford). Congestion to just after J29 (Romford / Basildon).”
