M5 closed after pedestrian hit by lorry in Somerset
The M5 has been closed in Somerset due to a police incident this afternoon (October 22). Police have confirmed a pedestrian has been hit by a lorry near Taunton. Vehicles were initially being held in both directions following an incident which was reported at around 12.42pm.
The motorway has now been closed and drivers should avoid the area. Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for a comment. Traffic monitor Inrix states: "M5 in both directions closed, stationary traffic due to police incident at J25 A358 (Taunton)."
