AKRON, Ohio -- A 39-year-old man was thrown "several feet" after he drove his ATV through a stop sign in the Kenmore neighborhood and crashed into a car, police say.
Police say the crash occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Eighth Street Southwest. The ATV driver reportedly was heading east on Florida Avenue when he went through a stop sign and crashed into a northbound Subaru.
Police believe the ATV might have rolled over the driver after he was thrown from the bike.
The ATV driver was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center but no information was available on his condition.
The 58-year-old male driver of the Subaru wasn't injured.
The crash remains under investigation, and charges and citations are pending.
