‘Scary Moment’ for Students as Armed Police Burst in During Baltimore Campus Shooting

A student at Morgan State University has told Storyful of the “scary” moment he found himself confronted at gunpoint by police sweeping the campus during a shooting incident on Tuesday, October 3.

Freshman Evan Grant recorded the footage here as police burst in on him and a friend.

“The blitz was scary because it wasn’t anticipated, [or] the guns and loud noise,” he told Storyful.

“My friend and I were sitting in the room when they suddenly burst in and instructed us to stay still,” Grant said. It was a “scary moment, especially knowing that the shooter was still hiding at that time,” he said.

Police in Baltimore, Maryland, said they were searching for a suspect or suspects following the shooting, in which five people were wounded.

The five victims, aged between 18 and 22, were being treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, Acting Police Commissioner Richard Worley said[1]. Credit: Evan Grant via Storyful
