Police were called to Leeds Road, near Shaw Cross Sharks ARLFC, just after 9pm last night (Monday, October 23) to reports of men on a quad bike causing damage to the camera poles, with one falling into the road. Police confirmed that the local authority highways team were made aware and that work was carried out in the early hours to make the road safe. A spokesperson also confirmed that they are aware of a video circulating on social media and are “investigating the contents.”
Enquiries into the offence are ongoing and anyone who has information which could assist is asked to contact Kirklees District Police on 101 referencing police log 1727 of October 23.
