61-year-old Notting Hill man attacked with brick and scissors during tool theft
A 61-year-old Notting Hill man has been hospitalised after being attacked with a brick and a pair of scissors in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police were told the man was attacked after confronting three men attempting to break into his truck just after 5am.
Police said the man then chased one of the offenders along Longbourne Avenue and caught up with him, before a struggle ensued.
It is alleged the other two offenders then returned, attacking the victim with a pair of scissors and a brick until he let go of the other man, before fleeing the scene in two separate cars.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
Approximately £20,000 of tools were stolen.
The offenders are believed to be male and aged in their late teens to early twenties.
Police are seeking help from the public for more information and have shared CCTV footage of the cars seen in the area at the time of the attack.
