A429 crash: Cyclist in hospital following serious collision with car in Cotswolds

A cyclist is in hospital with head and shoulder injuries following a serious collision with a car on Friday afternoon (November 17). The driver of the car is reported to have failed to stop at the scene of the incident[1]. Police were called shortly after 1.30pm to the crash at the Donnington crossroads on the A429 Station Way in the Cotswolds[2].

Officers are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information they may have. The collision involved a dark coloured car, possibly a Ford, which was travelling from Moreton-in-Marsh towards Stow-on-the-Wold. The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to Warwick Hospital for treatment to head and shoulder injuries where he remains at this time.

The driver of the car failed to stop to check on the welfare of the cyclist or to provide details, and continued towards Stow-on-the-Wold. Officers from the Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from the driver of the car as well as anyone who witnessed the collision and has not already spoken to police. Additionally, they would like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the collision or any footage they feel may be relevant.
