A61 Park Road accident live as road blocked and emergency services at scene

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash in Barnsley[1] on Wednesday morning. South Yorkshire Police[2] have closed A61 Park Road Southbound following a serious crash which has blocked the road. The road is closed from from Edmund Street to Vernon Road.

There is currently slow traffic in the area - it is not clear how long the road will remain shut for today (November 22). There has been reports of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance[3] spotted in the area. Our travel partner, INRIX, reported: "A61 Park Road Southbound blocked, slow traffic due to accident from Edmund Street to Vernon Road.
