All the M4 closures announced for the week ahead

A number of closures have been announced on the M4 in Wales and England this week with drivers told to expect delays. There are a host of maintenance works being carried out along the motorway. Motorists are asked to take into account the closures before heading off, to avoid rushing or lateness due to delays.

All the M4 closures in Wales:

Junction 25 Caerleon to junction 24 Coldra along M4 northbound is closed at its exit slip road for maintenance work, which commenced on November 3 and will continue until December 4 from 8pm to 6am. Junction 38 Margam along M4 eastbound has its entry slip road closed for maintenance work, which began on November 10 and will continue until November 13. Junction 45 Ynysforgan along M4 westbound also has its exit slip road closed for maintenance work, which began on October 29 and will continue until November 17 from 8pm until 6am.

Junction 47 Penllergaer to junction 49 Pont Abraham along M4 westbound is closed for maintenance work from November 12 until November 14 from 8pm until 6am. All the M4 closures in England: The M4 westbound from junction five to six has a lane and slip road closure for Midas survey works, with a diversion in place via National Highways roads on November 13 at 10pm until 5.30am on November 14.

The M4 westbound from junction 19 to 20 has a carriageway closure for SMART motorway improvements, with a diversion in place via M32 exit from November 13 at 9pm to November 14 at 5am.

The M4 eastbound from junction 23 to 22 Prince of Wales Bridge will have a carriageway closure for bridge maintenance, with a diversion in place via M48 Severn bridge from November 13 at 9pm until November 14 at 6am.
