Appeal as 14-year-old missing from Scottish city for more than 24 hours

Jacob Vergunst, 14, has been reported missing from Aberdeen (Image: Police Scotland) POLICE are appealing for help to trace a 14-year-old who has been missing in Aberdeen for more than 24 hours. A renewed plea for information about Jacob Vergunst comes after confirmation that a second teenager has been found “safe and well”.

The 15-year-old Jack Urquhart was believed to be together with Vergunst. Both had gone missing on Thursday, November 23. Urquhart, who had last been seen in the Bridge of Don area of Aberdeen at around 3:30pm that day, was confirmed to have been found on Friday morning.

But Vergunst, who was last seen in the Cults area of Aberdeen at around 8.30am on Thursday, is still missing. In a renewed appeal, police said the 14-year-old is described as being around 5ft 5in in height, of slim build, with brown hair. Officers said that when he was last seen the teenager was wearing a black puffer jacket, dark green trousers, black shoes and a black balaclava.

They also said that Vergunst has been known to travel by bus across Scotland.
