Boy, 6, seriously hurt after crash near Stanley Road Primary

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the crash involving a six-year-old boy and a car outside Stanley Road Primary School in Stanley Road, Worcester. Investigating officers are appealing for information from the public including dash-cam footage after the pedestrian was hurt in the incident. PC Warren said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident this afternoon. “A six-year-old boy was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

After the crash, Stanley Road was closed using traffic cones at both ends with cars diverted from Hill Street down Cecil Road.

The road was also blocked by cones at the Wyld’s Lane end. Officers were talking to a man in a silver Ford Fiesta near the scene and a collision investigator marked out the incident on the road. An officer asked people leaving the school not to walk on the footpath outside the school and to cross to the pavement on the opposite side.
