Dad seriously hurt in Bedworth hit and run as police launch manhunt for driver
A dad was left with potentially serious injuries after a hit and run in Bedworth[1]. Warwickshire Police[2] has confirmed that a man was left needing hospital treatment following the incident at the junction of Dark Lane and Goodyers End Lane last night (November 27). The man, who is aged in his 60s, remains in hospital today and investigating officers are desperate to find the driver who hit him. A Warwickshire Police spokesman told CoventryLive that witnesses are key.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the vehicle’s make and model, which failed to stop at the scene,” the spokesperson said. “We’re asking anyone with information, who was in the area at the time, or has dashcam footage to contact the force.” A West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS)[4] spokesperson confirmed that they were called to the collision at 8pm and found a man injured. He was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry[5] for further assessment.” Anyone with any information about the incident should contact Warwickshire[6] Police on 101, quoting incident number 281 of November 27. Details can also be given to the independent charity Crimestoppers confidentially, on 0800 555 111.
