Driver badly injured in car and truck crash at busy Coventry junction

A driver was left seriously injured following a crash at busy junction in Coventry[1]. Police and paramedics raced to the scene of a collision between a car and a truck at the junction of Ansty Road and Sewall Highway in Wyken. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said that three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene and found three men.

One of them, the driver of one of the vehicles, was believed to have suffered potentially serious injuries. “The first driver was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening,” the WMAS spokesperson said. “He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry for further assessment. “The second driver and a passenger were assessed and had sustained non-life threatening injuries.

They received self care advice from ambulance staff before being discharged at the scene.”
