Elderly woman targeted in distraction theft on bus

Police have shared images of three woman they want to speak in connection with a high value distraction theft from a pensioner in Warrington[1]. The theft happened while the 85-year-old victim was travelling on the number two Latchford bus in the town. The incident was reported to police at 3.52pm on Thursday, November 16.

The 85-year-old woman was said to have been distracted after being followed onto the bus by three women. Police have now launched an investigation and are keen to speak to the three woman in the CCTV images they have shared. Initial enquiries lead police to believe the women could have links to Sheffield.

We are also appealing directly to the women to make contact.
