Emergency services called to two car crash on A35
Emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle crash on the A35 at Morden Park Corner shortly before 3pm on Saturday. Police attended the scene, alongside the ambulance and fire services. Roads were closed at Bakers Arms roundabout and Morden Park Corner while the incident was dealt with.
Following reports of two people being trapped inside one of the vehicles, firefighters used cutting gear to remove the car’s doors. The two people were then assisted out of the vehicle, and seen by the ambulance service. Dorset Police said no serious injuries have been reported.
The vehicles were recovered and the road was reopened at around 5.30pm. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Our crews from Poole[1] fire station attended reports of two people trapped in one vehicle following a head on collision on the A35. “Once our crews arrived on scene, they quickly got to work removing the doors off of the car using their cutting gear.
“They assisted the casualties out of the vehicle whilst they self extricated and handed them over to the hands of the ambulance service.”
