A father and his daughter died on Tuesday afternoon in Virginia, authorities said.
The family was traveling from Florida to Annapolis, Maryland, to visit another family member, according to a GoFundMe campaign[8] started by Alyssa’s sister, Ivory Cerezo.
On the fundraising page, Cerezo asked for help transporting the victims’ bodies back to Florida. She also fondly remembered her sister — who was a recent high school graduate — and her stepfather. “My little sister Alyssa is a very loving young girl,” Cerezo wrote. “She just graduated high school … and she was accelerated to 2nd yr college because of all her hard work during high school.
She loves to sing, cook and dance. She was a gem.” She continued, “My stepdad, Augie, is a very loving husband, dad, friend and grampa to my son.
He always lightens up the mood with his dad jokes.”
