Girl, 13, seriously injured in Swindon industrial estate crash
A teenager suffered serious injuries after being involved in a crash with a van on an industrial estate in Swindon[1]. The incident happened near the B4006 roundabout on the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate at around 5pm, Wiltshire Police said. The force said the crash involved a van and 13-year-old pedestrian with a road closure being set up while the incident was dealt with[2].
The latter is said to have sustained serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to hospital for treatment and no arrests have been made in connection with the crash. An appeal for information has been issued by police[3].
A statement from the force said: “A 13-year-old girl sustained serious injuries in a collision with a van in Swindon yesterday evening (November 22). At around 5pm, we responded to reports that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a van in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate near the B4006 roundabout. “The girl suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening and was taken to hospital for treatment.
No arrests have been made.
“Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam are asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 190 of yesterday’s date.
