Glasgow street cordoned off after man attacked as Partick locals report ‘lots of blood’

Police have taped off an area in Glasgow’s West End[1] after a man was found injured following a serious assault on Monday night, November 20. Emergency services scrambled to Dumbarton Road, at its junction with Stewartville Street, in Partick[2], at around 10pm. Officers discovered the 34-year-old man, who was hurt, and he was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The nature of the incident and injuries sustained is unclear. A police[3] cordon remains in place, around a bus shelter on the street, this morning (November 21).

One eyewitness told GlasgowLive: “The white thing on the ground in the bus shelter has lots of blood on it and there’s blood on the glass of the bus shelter.”

Another said: “Something bad must have happened through the night, there’s police tape at the bottom of Stewartville Street at the bus stop on Dumbarton Road. Police are waiting for forensics but residents can leave.” Join Glasgow Live’s Whatsapp Community here[6] and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.
