Hemel Hempstead; Police find vehicles after burglary
The vehicles were found on Tuesday morning (November 21) after they had been taken on a day earlier. At around 8am on Monday (November 20), Hertfordshire Constabulary were informed of a burglary that had taken place overnight. Two sets of car keys had been taken, and both vehicles had been driven away.
After being recovered, the vehicles will now be examined for any “forensic opportunities”. Enquiries into the burglary are still ongoing. A spokesperson for Herts police said: “It was a busy shift for PCs Phillpotts and Hall from the Dacorum Intervention team yesterday morning.
“After finding the vehicles the pair continued with their patrols and came across a suspicious vehicle a couple of hours later. “It was established the vehicle was on false number plates and was suspected of being stolen and used in crime. “It was recovered and enquiries continue.”
