Lincolnshire Police arrest seven men after fatal collision in Tongue End
Police have arrested seven men after a fatal crash. A man has died after a car ended up in a water filled ditch at Tongue End – despite the attempts of two officers who tried to save him. Police say three cars were involved in the collision, which was reported yesterday at 3.37pm, and seven men aged between 19 and 33 have been arrested.

A force statement said: “We are at the scene of a collision at Tongue End, Counter Drain Drove, where a car had left the road and overturned in a water filled ditch.
“Two officers went into the water to try to save a man who was trapped. Sadly, their attempts were in vain and the man died at the scene.
“This collision was reported at 3.37pm yesterday (24 November). Three cars were involved, a grey Ford Focus, a black Vauxhall Insignia and a grey Volkswagen Touran.
Seven men, aged between 19 and 33 have been arrested. “We are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police. If you saw the collision, or saw the cars in the area of Tongue End prior to the collision, please get in touch.
We are also appealing to anyone who has captured dash cam footage that may be relevant.”
