Live as police tape off Hunslet street after gunshots fired in home

A police cordon is in place after gunshots were fired during a reported burglary in Leeds. West Yorkshire Police[1] have been spotted at the scene of the ‘burglary’ in Lupton Street, Hunslet. According to reports, they first arrived yesterday morning (Sun).

Police remain on scene as they investigate the reported burglary and the gunshots. It is unclear at this time if anyone was injured as a result of the ‘shooting’. A police cordon remains in place this morning and multiple officers appear to be on the scene.

West Yorkshire Police have been contacted for comment on the incident and have since confirmed shots were fired at a home in the street. Any additional information will be added to the live blog below as it comes in.
