Live: Devon A-road closed due to building fire

The A381 has been closed in both directions following a building fire. The A-road in South Devon, between Newton Abbot and Totnes, has been closed to traffic from the Abbotskerswell turn off and The Two Mile Oak Inn. The road closure was first reported at around 5.15pm by traffic monitoring service Inrix.

It reports: “A381 Totnes Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to building fire between Abbotskerswell turn off and The Two Mile Oak Inn.” Devon and Cornwall Police and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue have been contacted for more information. This is a live blog.
