Live Mountsorrel traffic updates with centre of village shut by police due to ‘incident’
The centre of a village in Charnwood was closed to traffic this morning after a lorry was reported to have hit a telegraph pole. Police advised drivers to avoid Mountsorrel due to the incident. The closures were in place along Loughborough Road, from the A6/Granite Way roundabout through to Market Place in the centre.
In an alert at 6am, Leicestershire Police said: "***Traffic update.*** Motorists please avoid the area of Loughborough Rd, Mountsorrel from Granite way roundabout to Market Place Mountsorrel.
The road is in the process of being closed due to an incident earlier this morning.
