Live updates as crash between HGV and motorbike closes Cambs A-road

A rural Cambridgeshire road is closed following a crash this afternoon (Friday, November 17). The A1101 Sutton Road is closed in both directions following the collision between an HGV and a motorcycle. The closure was first reported by traffic data company Inrix shortly after 11am.

Inrix said: “A1101 Sutton Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident, two vehicles involved from Hannath Road to Swallow Lane. Sensors show the road has been closed.” A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at about 10.40am today (17 November) with reports of a collision between a HGV and a motorcycle on the A1101.

Emergency services attended. Details of injuries are unclear at this time.” CambridgeshireLive has asked the East of England Ambulance Service for more information.
