Live updates: Serious A303 crash near Honiton shuts road both ways

The busy A303 near Devon’s border is currently shut both ways due to a serious crash. According to National Highways South West, the road is shut in both directions due to the incident between the A358 Horton Cross and the A30/A35 Honiton. Drivers have been warned of “heavy traffic” in the area where a diversion route is in place.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Police are at the scene. In a statement on its website, a National Highways spokesperson said: “The A303 in Somerset is closed in both directions between the A358 (Horton Cross) and the A30/A35 (Honiton) due to a serious collision. Avon and Somerset Police are in attendance.”
