Lucky escape for trio involved in Frankley car crash

THREE people escaped with minor injuries after a two-car crash in Frankley on Saturday.

The collision happened at the junction of Frankley Hill Lane and Egghill Lane around 12.30pm.

One of the vehicles had caught fire and was extinguished by a crew from Redditch Fire Station. Firefighters also made both vehicles safe and dealt with a fuel spillage. West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance and a HART paramedic to the collision.

The three patients - a man and two women - were all assessed and discharged at the scene.

Frankley Hill Lane was closed while the emergency services dealt with the scene.

It reopened after 1.30pm.
