Man airlifted to hospital after A24 crash near Findon

A man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries[1] after a crash on the A24[2] near Findon on Thursday morning (November 16). Three vehicles were reported in the crash which happened at around 8.45am between Findon and Washington. Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed in both directions.

An air ambulance arrived on the duel carriageway and airlifted a man to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.[3] Sussex Police[4] has now launched an appeal for any witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating a collision on the A24 between Findon and Washington.”

They continued: “Emergency services were called to the incident at about 8.45am on Thursday, November 16. The dual carriageway was closed in both directions while emergency services responded to the incident. “The collision involved three vehicles, and a man was airlifted to the Royal Sussex Country Hospital via Air Ambulance with serious injuries.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the collision or vehicles in the area at the time to come forward. “Motorists are advised that there may be delays in the area while the incident is responded to, but the road is expected to reopen in the early afternoon.
