Man arrested after two people suffer serious injuries in crash

Police are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Stanningley Road near the junction with Armley Ridge Road, in Armley, Leeds. “Two people suffered life threatening injuries,” said a spokesperson for West Yorkshire[1] Police. “The road is currently closed and we would ask people to avoid the area. “The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time.”

Traffic alerts are reporting that the westbound lane of the A647 Stanningley Road is closed and there is queueing traffic due to the crash near the KFC.

The following bus services have been diverted: X6, X11, 72 and 86.
