Man banned from Surrey Heath after ‘taking advantage’ of vulnerable people
A man has been banned from entering Surrey Heath borough this week, after taking advantage of vulnerable people. Police issued a Community Protection Notice to prevent him from going to Surrey Heath, and if he does, he will be arrested. Police in the town have detailed a busy week for the force.
Elsewhere in the borough this week, police arrested a man for being in possession of an offensive weapon on Halloween night. He was arrested in Camberley[1] Town, after trying to fight[2] a member of the public. The victim was able to get hold of the weapon and throw it away from the man, and it was later recovered by security officers.
With the help of witnesses and CCTV, the man was later located and arrested. He was also arrested[3] for a further three counts of assault on emergency workers, and actual bodily harm. The individual has since been remanded.
Officers also seized a vehicle after it was found to have no insurance or MOT and the tyre tread was below the limit, making it dangerous. The driver was slapped with six points on their licence and a fine for driving with dangerous tyres. A man was also taken to hospital[4] after he was found injured in the road in Camberley[5] on Tuesday morning (October 31).
The incident led to a closure on the A30 London Road and Surrey Police[6] has launched an appeal for witnesses. Emergency services were called to the scene at 4.36am after reports that a man had been found in the road with a serious head injury. He has since been taken to hospital where he is said to remain at this time.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are looking to trace the man’s movements in the hours beforehand, and we need your help. Were you travelling along London Road between 4am and 4.30am? Did you see a White man in his 40s with brown hair wearing dark clothing travelling on foot in this area?”
