Man dies following road traffic collision in Birmingham
Nechells Parkway A pedestrian lost his life in a collision in Nechells, Birmingham[1] on Sunday morning (November 19). The 46-year-old man was believed to have been struck by a car as he crossed the road near to a pedestrian crossing.
The man was treated at the scene, but nothing could be done to save him.Police were called by the ambulance service to the junction of Rupert Street and Nechells Parkway[2], Birmingham[3] at around 9.10am yesterday (November 19). West Midlands Police launched an investigation and spoke to the driver, a man in his 40s. Forensic examiners were at the scene of Rupert Street and Goodwick Way as officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit examined the scene.
West Midlands Police said: “The man’s family have been informed and our thoughts remain with them at this sad time. “There have been witnesses who have already spoken with us, but we would urge anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash cam footage to contact the SCIU.” Contact can be made via 101, live chat or e-mailing [email protected][4] quoting log 1033 of 19/11/23.
