Man in his 80s dies after being left seriously injured in Oadby crash
A man in his 80s has died after being hit by a car in Oadby earlier this month[1]. The man had been left seriously injured following the incident, which involved a dark green Audi. The incident happened at around 8.15am on Monday, November 6, when the man in his 80s was injured by the Audi in Oadby’s[2] Wigston Road.
The crash happened close to the junction with London Road. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. In a statement today, Leicestershire Police said he died yesterday, Sunday, November 26, as a result of his injuries.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested in the aftermath of the collision. She was later released under investigation[4]. Leicestershire Police said investigations into the circumstances of the collision were ongoing.
Its Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has called for any witnesses or anyone who knows more about the incident to come forward.
