Man jailed for threat to kill family in house fire
A man who threatened to burn down his ex-partner's house with her and children insde has been jailed for three years. Aaron Llewellyn, 32, from New England, Peterborough, called the victim 194 times and also said he would petrol bomb her car. The harrassment began in April while Llewellyn was jail for breaking a non-molestation order against another victim.
Cambridgeshire Police described it as "vile behaviour". Llewellyn, who was in HMP Peterborough, used a prison phone and a mobile phone to contact the victim and told her she was being watched. Within a week of his release in August, he sent the victim 500 messages and called 17 times.
He was jailed at Peterborough Crown Court after pleading guilty to harassment. He also pleaded guilty to making threats to kill and making threats to damage and destroy property. PC Hannon said: "Llewellyn's behaviour caused the victim a great deal of fear."
