Man smashes woman’s car window and makes a grab for keys in terrifying incident on East Yorkshire road

A man smashed the window of a woman’s car during a terrifying incident on a road in East Yorkshire, according to a report received by the police. The alleged violence happened after the woman stopped her car suddenly after seeing another vehicle stationary in the road ahead of her. A man is said to have got out of the other car and hit the woman’s driver-side window with an object.

The window was smashed and the woman was struck in the face. The man then tried to take the woman’s keys from the ignition. However, the woman managed to drive away before the man could take the keys.

She suffered what are thought to be minor injuries. The frightening incident reportedly happened on the A163 near Bubwith. The man’s car has been described by police as a “small white vehicle”.

It happened on Thursday November 16, but full details have now emerged. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101 quoting occurrence 23*163725.
