Moment driver launches foul-mouth tirade at cyclist in bizarre road …

Shocking footage shows the moment a middle-aged driver launches a furious[1] expletive-filled tirade[2] during a road rage row. The video shot in South London shows the foul-mouthed driver accusing a cyclist of bashing into the sports car she was driving. This is despite the camera footage of the delivery driver showing they were nowhere near the moaning motorist.

The incident in Elephant and Castle from October 24 sees a woman “resembling Mrs Doubtfire” step out of her vehicle and rush towards the delivery person to accuse him of hitting her vehicle[3].

This is despite the delivery cyclist being a car away from the fuming motorist. She rushed up to the driver and said: “You just ran into me.” Footage of the incident sees the cyclist pump the brakes and stop himself from rushing into the suddenly opened door of the sports car, driven by a woman wearing a floral shirt and purple cardigan.

The baffled cyclist asks her to return to her car, but instead she began wandering around the Toyota GT86 to inspect potential damages. The delivery driver added: “Get back into your car, you crazy woman.” A foul-mouthed tirade soon followed, with the woman telling him to “shut the f*** up”, with the cyclist hitting back and calling her a “f***ing idiot”.

The verbal back and forth came to an end when the rider headed off in front of the car and squeezing through the lanes to get back to his job. He has since spoken out on the incident, with the Daily Mail[5] reporting the driver keeps his camera handy to avoid moments just like this. He said: “I was confused.

Not everyone exits their vehicle in such a fashion in the middle of the road. I didn’t understand what she was doing so I was trying to be as neutral as possible at first. If you’re worried about damage to your car, I dunno why you’d leave your door open.

Having a camera prevents you from being a victim of false allegations.

At the end I just wanted to filter through before the channel was blocked.”
