Moped driver seriously injured in Cambs crash sparking witness appeal

A moped rider was left with serious injuries following a crash in Gamlingay. Cambridgeshire Police[1] are now looking for witnesses to the incident on November 21. The crash, involving the Piaggio moped and a BMW 1 series car, happened between 5pm and 5.22pm at the junction of Green End and Fairfield. The moped rider, a man his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.

The driver of the car, a 25-year-old woman from Potton, Bedfordshire, was uninjured and stopped at the scene. Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage should contact police on the force website quoting reference 35/87072/22 or call 101 if you do not have internet access.
