Passenger stabbed on platform at Cumbria train station
A PASSENGER was stabbed on the platform of a Cumbrian railway station. Emergency services were called to Windermere station on Friday night after a passenger was stabbed on the platform. The victim was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Two suspects were arrested in nearby Bowness after being spotted by a Cumbria Police officer at a bus stop.
Train services were suspended while British Transport Police Crime Scene Investigation examined the station.
Both suspects have been bailed, with conditions, while further inquiries are completed.
