The collision involved a female pedestrian and a black Volkswagen Touareg, and happened on Guisborough Court, Eston, at around 4.15pm on Monday (November 20) (Image: GOOGLE MAPS) A pedestrian, aged 74, has been left with seriously injuries after she was hit by a car and a motorist has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving driving and dangerous driving. The collision involved a female pedestrian and a black Volkswagen Touareg, and happened on Guisborough Court, Eston, at about 4.15pm on Monday (November 20).

The woman was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious head injuries, where she remains whilst receiving treatment.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the collision, to contact them on 101, quoting incident reference number 230017.
