Pensioner dies after lorry crash in Kilburn High Road

Police were called to Kilburn High Road close to the junction with Cambridge Avenue just before 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (November 25). There had been reports of a crash between a lorry and a pedestrian. Officers attended the incident alongside paramedics from London Ambulance Service.

The pedestrian, a 71-year-old man, was confirmed dead at the scene. A police spokesperson said that his next of kin are yet to be informed. Kilburn High Road was shut in both directions[1] following the crash but has since re-opened.

The driver of the lorry stopped nearby a short time later and was spoken to by officers.

No arrests have been made.
