Police block road after crash
Drivers faced travel chaos in Merseyside following a number of crashes. Police received a report of a crash on Boundary Street in Vauxhall[1] today, Tuesday, November 28 at around 8.35am. The crash involved a black Volkswagen and a blue Audi A3.
Officers closed the road while the cars were removed. A photo of the scene showed three police cars blocking the road and queueing traffic in the area.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said no injuries were reported.
A crash was also reported on the M53 southbound at around 8.20am this morning. It occurred near junction 1 of the motorway, close to the Wallasey[4] Dock Link Road. The crash involved a white Fiat Punto which drove into a barrier.
The driver of the car suffered small cuts to her face. The tunnels police put a diversion in place as they dealt with the incident. The road has since reopened.
