Police called to stand-off at Nuneaton bus station after mum refuses to let bus leave

Police have today been called to a stand-off at Nuneaton bus station after a mum refused to allow a bus to leave. Warwickshire[1] Police confirmed that 999 calls were made to report an incident at the Harefield Road-based station at just after 3.50pm. Reports to CoventryLive suggested that a woman was refusing to let a bus leave the station. Passers-by said there was 'shouting and screaming' amid the stand- off.

A Warwickshire Police[2] spokesman said this evening: "We received a report of an 11-year-old girl being assaulted on a bus. It was reported by her mother who then stopped the bus from leaving. "Officers in attendance at the moment." Any witnesses or those with any information are being urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 195 of November 27.
