Police update after motorcyclist injured in crash with van in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire Police[1] has issued an update on a motorcyclist who was involved in a crash with a van in Lincolnshire. The van and bike collided on the A16, at the junction of Main Road and Pear Tree Lane near Ludborough[2], at around 11.30am on Tuesday, November 21. The biker was injured though the extent of their injuries is not clear, the police say.

However, a spokesperson for the force said they are not believed to be life-threatening. Drivers were advised to avoid the area as police officers closed the road. It remained closed for several hours, with the force describing it as a ‘serious collision’.

Poll: What’s the best thing to do on a rainy day in Lincolnshire?[3] A spokesperson said on X, formerly Twitter, at 11.55am: “Alert: we are on scene at a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a van at the A16 island junction of Main Road and Pear Tree Lane at Ludborough. Please avoid the area.”

The road had reopened by 4pm and traffic soon returned to normal, according to monitoring service Inrix.

The van driver is not believed to have been injured.
