Primark selling £45 Rita Ora coat that’s £4k cheaper than a designer version
Primark shoppers have spotted a GBP45 coat from the Rita Ora collection that looks ‘almost identical’ to a luxury brand, but is GBP4,125 cheaper. The high-street retailer’s[1] Herringbone Oversized Coat[2] is a piece from the newly released range and features a “longline fit”. The coat is covered in a monochromatic herringbone design all over, and is of a similar style to one from luxury designer brand Yves Saint Laurent[3] – which is GBP4,125 more expensive.
The designer version[4], made from Chevron wool, costs GBP4,170. Despite being a similar design and colour, shoppers could save over GBP4K if they decide to buy the Rita Ora x Primark’s offering[5]. As reported by Liverpool Echo[6], both coats feature long sleeves and slip pockets towards the front with large notch lapels.
However, the luxury version is ever so slightly different as it comes with a detachable belt that comes in the same colour and pattern. A description of the Primark coats reads: “This oversized coat boasts a distinctly retro allure with its longline, slouchy fit, double-breasted button fastenings and monochromatic all-over herringbone design. This item has an oversized silhouette, we recommend to size down depending on your desired fit.”
Primark recommends pairing the coat with a hoodie and joggers for a casual fit. However, it can also be dressed up with a chunky jumper dress or jeans and a t-shirt. The coat can be purchased in store or online but you’ll have to be quick to get the most out of this bargain.
Alternatively, Primark has other coats that are available. The Rita Ora Oversized Double-Breasted Coat[7] costs GBP40 and comes in a gorgeous olive green with an oversized fit. For a more stylish and luxury look, the GBP40 Rita Ora Oversized Faux Leather Trench Coat[8] and comes in a chocolate shade.
